about books.

{W}hile being a student, i have no time to read books. well, i read them between semesters, because during semesters i cannot make myself read a novel or whatever, because there is always that other book or article i'm supposed to be reading instead. i can't wait until i've finished school and hopefully have a normal workday so that i can have the freedom of reading any book i want. I haven't even mentioned the endless horse stuff i read during semesters as well. last year though, i read 3 or 4 books during the summer, the hobbit (for the second time), and a few rockstar books. this was a victory!
nowadays though, i have a book on my nightstand called.. 101 gangster movies you have to see before you die that my sister gave me for christmas. and wow. it is really good! the actors in the 1930's and 1940's look so good! gangsters of that era are my favorite gangsters. i read about one movie each night, which is only a very small page short. so far it is working great for me. however, for the summer, i have my eyes on lord of the rings - in english. which i know will be better than the swedish translation i've read.
i have until the end of this month to finish this book about Pompeii, by Mary Beard. i've heard good reviews. and i like this bw photo above. I can't wait to go there later this month!

a living legend.

{L}ast thursday night, me and a few friends from work went to see this man perform.
it was exactly 10 years ago in this city, i last saw this man live in concert,
performing my favorite album of his.
His indoor concert yesterday, was so impressive.
visuals and sounds with his special voice.
i've never experienced a concert the way i did there,
it was magnetic, magical and beautiful.
i have no other words to describe it.
what a gift for us fans.
we love thåström.
if other artists are stars, he is a rare supernova.
he has been performing since the 70's and is STILL amazing
but that's because he is a real rockstar!

my semi-automatic silver Minolta zoom 80.

Film from this camera has made an entrance on this blog so it's about time for this little thing. this was my last filmcamera back in the days, i got it the same year i got my first digital, so i only had tryouts for a few rolls. i found it last year again deep in a drawer and it works perfectly after 7 years in hibernation. it is currently on my top 3 cameras and will be my sidekick for a few things this year. it likes good quality film over cheaper film.

closet pearls.

VINTAGE.

a walk on saturday. just me and the trees.

the weather was so good.
the sun has returned from the other side of the planet.
it was low and made lightroads between the trees.
the snow was so puffy and fluffy and light and deep
so many places to hibernate.
aaah happiness.
