after the moon.. i see jupiter.

Jupiter in the middle with its 4 galilean moons. I've never seen them before like this! Jupiter shines so bright and cute at night in the middle of my sky. Being outside looking up with only my eyes is really the nicest way to see it. Orion's belt is way down to the bottom right, out of the picture. Orion's belt is the only star constellation i know best, its so easy to spot. This was shot with 70-300mm lens after midnight. and the photo here below is the shaky high resolution... good enough for me at the moment. i love space.

first stop venturing out in space...is the moon!

i havent photographed the moon before with a zoom, so this is a big deal. i'm buried in city lights, so there are only a few stars in these pics. last time i did this it looked like this without a zoom.

planets and the moon.

i love evenings right now.. watching the planets.. feeling the icy cold.
i think it is soo cool that we can see the planets.
and i can only see them in the wintertime.
