my blog has been a bit quiet.... here's a small recap of this summer..

• i finished my master's thesis! very happy about that!

• i went to Abisko and looked at flowers in the mountains for two weeks..

• after that i went to Iceland for a week with colleagues and friends..(Sofi! remember that hot chocolate?! yeah thats what i'm talking about!)

• came home, slept for one night and the day after MOVED to Norway!

while i've been settling in Norway, not quite but will soon once i move into my new apartment in november, i've not forgotten about my blog, it will continue and i'll be back soon! It's mostly archaeology for me right now in my life. it's fun though to get the time to geek out 110%. I've got all my cameras and films in Sweden but those will move to me soon! i'm between things at the moment. But it also gives me time to think of new projects and plan fun things! it's all good!

I love all pics i post..obviously... but i didnt take as many photos this year, as i have in previous years... i've been mostly focusing on art and drawing cuz my little photo projects were finished last year (and new ideas for the future evolved, more to come!), but i made sure to whip out a camera to not miss any important moments. and some of those moments, that ive posted on the blog this year, they all fit neatly in this post.

it's time for a camera update/review again.

So it is summer, which means a lot of sunlight.. as a toy camera user this is the time of year to pick it up and catch the sunrays. i have film that is about to expire i shall take this chance to try them. and yes i know it's fun to shoot expired film, but i prefer it when it isn't. developing film is very expensive here, so i usually end up shooting about 3 films/year, which, isnt a lot, but that's where i'm at right now. I've had a lot of luck with my film rolls, because most pictures have always turned out and looked good without hardly any light leaks. After 3 years of learning and testing and exploring, i have my favorite cameras that fit me very good and my favorite film to go with them:

the diana.

i added a wide angle lens, because i wanted to have the option of fitting more things into the frame, landscapes, buildings, people etc. and so far i like it. it doesn't produce as much dark corners, but that's ok. the flash doesnt really fit when the viewfinder is attached, so that's a bit annoying, but my diana flash broke after a few times, so whatever. top left is kodak portra vc without wide angle lens, top right is fuji reala without wide angle lens. bottom left is fuji reala with wide angle lens, bottom right is kodak ektar with wide angle lens.

the holga 120
i've mostly used black&white film in this, and it suits it better than color i think. i particularly like shooting stone buildings with kodak t-max. if i ever go to transylvania, i will bring my holga.

the minolta zoom 80
this camera is such a dream. i love this little one and the photos it produces. i will be so sad the day it stops working. i think my favorite film with this camera is the kodak portra nc.

the SLR nikkormat ft
this camera likes natural film. and i like them together. kodak portra ftw. this camera was my grandfathers, it was made in the 60's. i love this one, i've shot several film rolls with it already, but it is heavy to carry.

i'm following my labels closely to see what my next most posted labels will be. am pretty sure polaroid will stay on top as i have several packs left waiting for adventures.

2012...

moonia and i played in the snow. i saw thåström in concert. went skiing. went to gotland with work. did other things..

i went to pompeji and capri.
went mountain hiking in sweden.
went waterfall-watching in washington state.
spent some time here.

and ended the year with another ski trip in sweden.

2011...

here follows some things from this year that is on the blog..

in the winter..

-i drank hot cocoa every day.
-i took my holga out to play in the snow after i had..
-..broken the holga's flash at stina's birthday dinner.
-i organized my archaeology and brought it online for reals.
-a group of friends went skiing as if it was 1983.
-for easter, my sister and i went out into the woods with snowmobiles.



in the summer..

-i came up with the best idea, drawing as many ville valo drawings as i can.
-i went above the arctic circle to see the helsinki vampires.
-i went hiking in the Jämtland fells here , here and here
-i live 15 min from the beach and somehow only went there ONCE.
-had lots of archaeology excursions by myself (see the archaeology archives).
-i took lots of diana photos of Moonia.
-i ate sushi. every week. which was crazy and not like me at all.



in the fall & winter....

-i turned 26.
-i decided to only shoot black and white film rolls in the fall.
-i was edina for halloween. stina was patsy. no one else figured it out. fail.
-went hiking around the city a few times.
-started my final master's year.
-i went with my sister to london to see 3 very talented hanson brothers. it was like an early christmas gift.

i saw both hanson and 69 eyes this year..!
now where is that HIM band..

2010...

in the winter..

-one of the two horses died.
-i spent lots of time in the snow, ice skating and riding.
-had the best easter so far. i still daydream about it lol. (here's also part 1 and part 2)

in the summer..

-i spent days at the beach and some nights camping in the fells.
-i swam in the sea again.
-i discovered lots of new food here and here.
-i went to the americas for the first time, mostly san fransisco, to find my sister and hung out with friends who were in the neighborhood here, and here.. because.. the usa is such a small place.
-i took a road trip through california here and here and here. I love it.
-i saw the rocky horror picture show in theater. aah dream come true.
-had so much fun carrying around that bag with a silly number of big plastic cameras in it.


in the fall..

-i turned 25 so i had a fun masquerade with my family.
-i "went back" to university and found myself out in the woods for a few weeks digging up bronze age. which was unexpected and awesome.
-i carved my first pumpkin, it turned out silly. and i was Maleficent for halloween.
-i saw reindeer.

in the winter..

-because it came early i had christmas all through december.
-went to the gamlia christmas market and made gingerbreads for the first time in 14 years.
-my hair is longer than it has ever been.
-i have a whole year seen through polaroids.


but most importantly... be around stardust!
