fire walk with me

{L}ast time i was in the states, i visited Rydell High in california, this time we went to Twin Peaks. i've been watching the series for the first time this summer -it is amazing. i'm glad the series has somehow managed to escape me up until now, it turned up in my life at the perfect time. the fact that we went there was such a funny coincidence. my friends, almost all of them, are huge fans so naturally we had to go. We only went to North Bend and Snoqualmie, about 30 minutes from Seattle. we had cherrypie and a damn fine cup of coffee (the character Dale Cooper was right about that one!) at Twede's Café, which is the Double R Diner in the series. what else can i say... see the series or bob will come for you.

We went in to Seattle in the late evening/night, a few hours before our flight back, and what can i say, we love the cheesecake factory. This was our last stop for this time. we loved it here. as always. only good things!

i'm very happy with the diana's, using the 55mm wide angle lens. i could never have gotten both the house and the waterfall in the shot, without it.

mid winter cinema!

little christmas films i used to watch as a kid. and still do. i loved watching all the little short films and programmes on swedish tv around december, they were all so good and magical. getting up early in the morning to catch them all, i didnt want to miss any. i can't remember the names of them.. but the chronicles of narnia was one of them for example. i wish tv was still this good.

i totally want to bake these many gingerbreads.

(this one is so much better than the new narnia movies. just saying).

palo alto.

i wanted to see death on the nile, but i missed it.
i wish sweden had cinemas like the ones here. there are old black and white movies showing and all kinds of other genres. i love it.
i also loved the vegan-restaurant we ate at here in palo alto. kind of reminded of chinese yet not. don't remember its name. i must say those pizza slize places are genius. i never tried frozen yoghurt though. there is so many different things to pick from here in america!

why are all my america posts about food?!

GREASE is the word!

couldn't miss this place in LA. it was first on our list.
we can die happy now. Rydell High in our hearts. what a pearl.
i think it's the most gorgeous school in the entire world.
GREASE, forever changed my life. and i was 7 years old.
i am framing a bigger version of our jump pic on my wall.

this is what happy looks like.

rocky horror..

At midnight, Stina and I went back from SF to Palo Alto to see the Rocky Horror Picture Show at Guild, which is an old movie theater. i've always wanted to see it in a theater.. i was superhappy. (i know there are shows in denmark, but with sweden i'm not sure). there were performances and people shouting funny things very synced through the whole film and lots of singing and dancing. it was really fun. well, for the people who know the film, there was a bunch that hadn't seen it, think they will have to see it again. if you get a chance, go see it!
