february through instagram..

basically it's been the most dreary weather this month.. no point in photographing anything outdoors because lack of sunshine. everything outside is ugly right now.. the snow is melting and is useless.. and this is usually supposed to be the good winter month! So my focus has been on indoor things.. reading, baking, knitting and listening to music... thinking about the universe.. and my future.

Åre, by winter

here follows photos i took with my SLR camera on my ski trip last december. some are shot with a tele and some are not. tele is really good to have where there are mountains. my sweet sister is in the photos. we usually hang out in Åre in the summertime, but we were there this winter to ski, havent been in years, we love Åre both in the winter and in the summer! and yeah, i love this camera.

this photo of brother peter is the very last photo on the film roll. the last day was the best day because there had been snowing a lot the night before, and it was a bit warmer.

a ski vacation in the fells. day 1/3

What is winter without a ski trip? between xmas and new years eve, i went on a ski vacation, it was a bit cold, ca -16 C. We were out the few hours the sun was up, around lunch time, it only stayed above the horizon. maybe i should have used iso 400 film, but this 200 one shows how far away the sun was. My sister, brother and i failed miserably at creating an 1980's vacation feeling, as we were dressed in black, and not a bright color in sight. We did not ski the bigger mountain, just the small one but the slopes were challenging enough for me so it was good. I found one slope that i particularly liked more than the others. and oh.. the views!
me.

winter roll.

film: kodacolor 200

the only ski day this season.

I somehow catched the same weekend as last year to go skiing. 25th of march. this time, sister came along, as well as friends from work, some of which had never skied before. the weather was great so we skied for 5 hours! sister is a brave little woman and was the only snowboarder. i personally think skiis are way cooler.. in a 80's cool sort of way. we definitely got appetite for more, though the ski season is basically over now, but we're dreaming big.. perhaps a skii trip to mountains next season. bigger hills and longer slopes. but this is what it looked like this time, with holga 135 camera:
