happy holidays!
The town of stavanger doesnt have snow... but i can see snow on far away mountain tops...so all is good! and there are gingerbreads and swedish glögg in norway, so all is good, too! i have only decorated my apartment with clementines, because im going to sweden over the holidays, so no point. Ive bought norwegian wool called "viking" to make wrist warmers for when i work.
the museum in stavanger is great, for the following reasons...
skeleton! and a very astrid lindgren house look. which is my absolute favorite. love it.

peoples cribs in scandinavia..1500 years ago..
On this gloomy sunday afternoon i visited this reconstruction of an iron age settlement, located next to the university here in Stavanger. In my job i look thru soilsamples from postholes of prehistoric buildings such as these..and identify charred plant remains from household activities. its always fun to visit reconstructions. these houses are built on top of excavated house remains.... which was extra fun!!for me!! and its nice to see all the natural materials.. instead of plastic stuff. you know? back to basics! check out ma crib yo, got all the latest iron age technology of course....
alot has happened over the last 1600 years, between then and now
