After walking through this djungle that is film, some films work better with certain cameras. it's the combination of film and camera that is the most important, i've discovered. kodacolor in a holga 135 works great in the winter, kodacolor in my minolta in the summer, not so much. I'm finally at the end of this try-out period, and I've found my favorite combinations. it is all so much fun. My favorite films, so far, are portra 160NC and ektar, both by kodak.

I've just used my first Ektar film and I'm pretty excited about getting the results back. I love finding which film goes best with a camera, I've found that the diana mini really suits any 400 films whilst my holga's happy with a 200.
ReplyDeleteMy favourites are Ilford XP2 which is a lovely black and white film and Portra film as well.
yes the ilford xp2 definitely gets extra points for being c-41!
ReplyDeletethe ektar is very nice, it likes a lot of color.. red, pink, white etc.
it's funny at the same time to have cameras with certain films in it.. "oh wait i have to change CAMERA for this shoot". haha.
